It's not that i'm bad at poetry
At least i don't think so
But i just get nervous when
i think of you and
i forget the words i wanted to say,
Anyway
That's not the point of this
The point is
Happy Birthday.
And this would be the part where
I go on and on
about how great you are
And how lucky i am to
Have met you
But you know how i feel
And i as much as i want to
Ramble on about how awesome
I think you are
I know for a fact that it would just
Make me sad
Because i want to be there so bad
and not miss you as much as i do
The truth,
Yeah, the truth, i'll say it
I love you.
That's the truth for me
But maybe not for you
But don't worry if it's not
I doubt the truth will hurt me
Right?
You might think it won't work
But it's worth a shot
Right?
You and me maybe
Even though we're at least
3000 milesapart
I got side-tracked,
I'm sorry i tend to do that
And it's not that i'm bad at poetry
At least i don't think so
