Hot Cider By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Sip my cider stir my soul
Chills greet me where I stand
As cobblestones and fingers cold
Remind the Autumn reprimand
Another day beneath the sky
More leaves drop like the falling snow
Come wintertime there is no heart
Nor warmth to match these apples old
A plastic cup with candy corn
A bowling ball tops leaves ofgold
Excited sneakers stamp their song
Across the blackened concrete folds
These children in the center square
Care not for worries left at school
It's harvest time between the rows
And steaming cider cures the cold
