i wish i didn't mind By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
i was halcyon,
the ocean at dawn,
'til you held my hand,
and jolts of volts
went streaming through me;
i went trembling in
sunshine and euphoria
and i didn't mind.
i was a control freak
until you kissed me,
and everything started
tospin out of place,
and all i could do was
close my eyes and
get lost in you;
i didn't mind.
i was a lovely mess,
when you left me
with cuts and bruises
and need for stitches,
empty and frail
and beyond repair;
and i wish i didn't mind
because i'm a broken glass
drowning in a waterslide
of salty pained tears,
and i loved you so much;
i wish i didn't mind.
