her wrists

Sunlight leaked from her wrists like blood
She never realized she would bloom like a flower bud
All she needed was some light
Something she never gained from each self inflicted fight
Did she ever learn?
The happiness that she yearned?
I knew she loved
But she never thought she was beloved
Her eyes were never dry
For she would always cry
Her life was short
Till she left with escort
