How the Mirror Ages By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Whispering softly,
The leaves dangle against my cheek,
And I
Turn to gaze upon-
The ocean blue, a mirage in the horizon
With moonbeams swirling stardust against-
The fading crescent shadow,
Stilled against its backdrop
Reflection paused in calm distortion.
Fragments of laughter linger in the breeze,
But they are stale and chipped;
already
gone
in the blues of tomorrow.
