Do not forget what you were taught, And keep all the commands in mind; For all the things that life has brought, That the Lord has helped you to find. Because they will bring you long life, Many good years as well as peace; They will help you cope with the strife, In the problems that will not cease. Let not mercy as well as truth, Ever leave by abandoning you; Which might cause you to be uncouth, And then not able to construe. You will find favor and success, All you do in the sight of God; Rest assured that the Lord will bless, If you give Him honor and laud. Trust the Lord with all of your heart, Do not rely on your own thought; Get on the right path as a start, In prayer to the Lord should be sought. In all your ways acknowledge Him. Follow the straight and narrow path; You will no longer feel so grim, And you will be spared from His wrath. Do not consider yourself wise, Fear the Lord and turn from evil; For darkness will wear a disguise, That is controlled by the devil. So never forget all these laws, For lengthening your days and years; So it keeps you from getting flaws, Giving confidence from your fears. Then your body will become healed, As your bones will become nourished; And your future will be revealed, While you see your life has flourished.
