Wives must be under their man, Under his authority; Submitting unto his plan, Giving it a priority. Some husbands may not obey, What is commanded by the Lord; As it seems they go astray, The Word of God is ignored. Their women could win these men, For Christ the way that they live; Help them see their errors when, Asking for God to forgive. Husbands would see just how pure, And reverent their lives are; How guiltless the inner core, Without a flaw or a scar. Beauty is not just outside, Using makeup and hairdos; Beauty on the inside, Through the lifestyle they choose. Beauty expresses the mood, If with a gentle spirit; And a quiet attitude, Upon their daily merit. Holy women have the trust, Express beauty of their own; Experiencing no lust, As men do acting alone. Men live with understanding, That wives are weaker than they; For life is more demanding, So to help wives through each day. Honor wives as those who share, Life-giving kindness from God; The little things show you care, And keeps you from getting flawed. C Copyright © 2015 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
