You on a summer day
Summer sun traveling you again
Tears claim emptiness
Mid way
You crawled towards me
Without asking you just said
Shattering pieces across a winter day
That, too far away
Here we are in summer heat
Falling towards another loss
You said no one understands me
Except you
Heaving yourself against my soul
We are the same you said without question
Understanding dreams carried
In secret
Before spring we ran back into summer rain
You scanning the crowd
Hungry for love
You found the one
For the summer to come
I slid around your needs
Waiting the dark tithing
Wishing you would not cry
when love shatters
Another summer day
