When sickness pays a visit...
At times fear filters in.
We often question why
And we wonder about sin
Have we offended God?
Our faith not been as strong?
The enemy will try
To convince us we've done wrong.
It's his job to disillude...
To sow the seeds of doubt...
But we won't reap the consequence
If we throw the culprit out.
Remember he's trespassing...
He has no right or claim...
And we can run him off
By using our Redeemer's Name!
If he's request permission...
Then we've got to understand
That this is still a testing ground....
Yet God's still in command.
In any case, our trust
Can never be unspoken...
Just speak in faith believing
God will fix whatever's broken.
Do our words possess power?
O, they do in Jesus' Name!!!
Every demon trembles...
The implications are insane!
Life and death are words we speak...
Our lives do have a purpose.
The Word tells us which one to choose
But the choice still makes us nervous.
Sometimes we feel we want to go
To join the ones we love...
And we wonder if this illness will
Finally take us up above.
But something deep within us
Seems to tell us to hang on.
That this, too, is going to pass...
Tomorrow brings a brand new dawn!
So when sickness pays a visit
As it will sometimes do...
We remember who the Healer is
And trust Him to see us through.
