Get rid of every kind, Of evil and deception; Purify your heart and mind, From things that cause corruption. Idle minds tend to wander, Creating hypocrisy; Which makes a person slander, Because of some jealousy. Desire the Word of God, Like a baby needing milk; Heal the scars where you are flawed, Make them to be smooth as silk. Start building your foundation, After tasting what is good; Then you grow in salvation, While doing as you should. You are now coming to Christ, To whom is the living stone; No longer become enticed, By what God does not condone. A sacred house being built, Housing the holy priesthood; And it must be free from guilt, Of solid granite not wood. God is laying the chosen, And the precious cornerstone; No one righteously frozen, With sinful iniquities shown. Only those with faith in Him, And confessed about their sin; Will have the spiritual vim, Be allowed to enter in. This honor belongs to those, Who repented and believe; Known to be those that God chose, For nourishment they receive. C Copyright © 2015 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
