The Two-Headed Snake

He held the church's full attention!
The sleepy heads came wide awake!
His sermon sure was hot and heavy...
 Describing a two-headed snake!

A snake that visits congregations
And creates havoc in each one!
One head is jaded and judgmental!
The other flaunts a gossip's tongue!

A snake that loves dividing families!
Makes enemies of once good friends!
It doesn't matter if they're Christians...
Here's where their Christian logic ends!

Placing the blame's his first agenda!
One's right, one's wrong... matters not which!
The only thing the world will witness
Are two devils fighting in a ditch!!

O, how repulsive a reflection
Upon the One they claim to serve!!
O, how can they be counted worthy??
Is Heaven some place they deserve??

Who'll be the first to say they're sorry?
Forfeit the right to be called right?
Did God not call them out of darkness?
Did He not call them to be Light?

Someone must rise a step above him...
Someone acknowledge their mistake!
Only in Christ is he defeated
This ugly, vile, two headed snake.

Matthew 23:33
"You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you
 escape the sentence of hell?"

Romans 3:13
THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE, WITH THEIR
TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING," "THE POISON
OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS"
