Per Chance By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Maybe today a thought will run
A marathon of things if only one
Will stand, withstood the test of time
A better state if just in mind
I watched you sleep, enjoyed the view
Breath taking shots I took of you
Upon soft sheets where rest was found
Sought much for years near heaven bound
Per chance you'll blink and miss out on
A piece of me today now gone
And just like you I too will hold
My breath again, countless you stole
Per chance a candle on this day
Will bring to mind what may have stayed
If for a while before blown out
It left its warmth still felt about
Per chance briefly a word or two
Still keeps what's left of things two knew
A memory though older drew
An autumn breeze, season paged through
Per chance
Per Chance
