New year`s eve has a lot to answer for
We open a door and we close a door,
But those split seconds cause such pain
Emotions crumble down like pouring rain.
Old wounds seem to open right up again
And memories rush back causing deep pain,
On the most famous night of the year
There`s so much heartache with each falling tear.
There are more tears shed on New Year`s Eve
Than you`d ever be able to conceive,
People cry for what can be no more
And their heart falls right through the floor.
Time doesn`t stand still so we must move on
And try not to think what has been and gone,
We must look forward and make memories
That we can cherish and not ones that displease.
