It's been some time since last I wrote
Just one for me as others spoke
Of you who gives a second look
To one you sought and overtook
Weak has come to be of me
Of late, of things, of use to be
No, not of hunger or broken heart
Or things that walked once mine a part
These things let go spelled much new start
Some may rub past circumstance
Across a page upon to glance
This too I've thrown away to passing wind
As they weighed much a heart to grin
I lost my way along the path
To stay the course and be not last
Though storms of thoughts became of me
Storms sailed through fought, won, you would agree
So, here I am as others may
Feel the same, read through, made stay
Of greater things already done
You I call Father, with love your son
