Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Widen their girth

Sometimes I am lost for words and left speechless
How much lower can mankind descend…?
Excuses give reason to whatever man wants
And whatever the cost he'll defend.

The air full of chemicals that we breath in
Vast areas of our earth are laid bare
The oceans and rivers once so full of life
Now dying so we'll have more cash as spare.

Once man would contemplate dilemmas
Now the answer is in what “it” is worth
No delusions of saving the planet
More anxious just to widen their girth.
