I speak in a human way, To help you to understand; That temptation made you stray, As you walk in sinking sand. The weakness of your nature, That has corrupted your heart; Preventing the new creature, Allowing you to impart. Clearly you have once offered, Of your body as a slave; As your ears have blocked the Word, While it keeps digging your grave. Sexual perversion keeps, Disobedience in mind; Erotic dreams as one sleeps, Makes you spiritually blind. So you live a carnal life, And to Satan you obey; For he fills you up with strife, As you continue to stray. For what do you really gain, By doing those carnal things; Does it seem to help your brain, From the pleasure that it brings. You should be feeling ashamed, Because it ends up in death; Of all the victims it claimed, Choking them till their last breath. Offer your body to God, As a slave to sacrifice; Giving Him honor and laud, That holy lives can entice. I am a work in progress, Of His construction project; For all of me to possess, Being one of the elect. C Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
