You were dead at one time, For your failures and sin; With much immoral crime, That corrupted within. You followed the ways here, And its dark persuader; For God you did not fear, Snubbing the Creator. The ruler keeps shaping, Those who refuse the Lord; Helping in escaping, As morals are ignored. All of us once did live, Among all these people; But God will not forgive, Since they snub the Gospel. With their corrupt nature, And profane desires; Never a new creature, Not a one acquires. We deserve of the wrath, Of God like the others; But on the righteous path, To Christ we are brothers. God is rich in His grace, With great love for us all; He is there to embrace, If we falter or fall. We were dead from failure, But has made us alive; Through Christ our Savior, We evermore survive. For God has brought us back, And gave a position; With the insight we lack, To help through transition. God made us what we are, Through faith we have been saved; Healed us where we did scar, Through His grace sins are paid. C Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
