'' Now That The Humans Have Died ''

Our love to hate,
We cannot abate,
It's time to stop and ask why,
To loathe and kill we just cannot wait,
With common decency we refuse to comply.

We have Gods who rule,
They're a powerful tool,
Yet their commandments we tend to ignore,
You've got to ask, who is the fool,
When respect has become such a chore.

I must protest,
But it's hard to detest,
Someone I have never known,
So why would I want to leave him distressed,
This hatred thing is well overblown.

From each other we steal,
We love an ordeal,
We don't know the meaning of respect,
When we leave there's no right of appeal,
Here is where we need to connect.

There's no need to kill,
We have free will,
Our intelligence is way beyond others?
So why is our species sliding downhill,
Our madness is what hatred smothers.

Constant disputes,
One prays one shoots,
We are ignoring our very demise,
To live in peace just never suits,
To our dilemma we have just closed our yes.

Our creators are sad,
We were but a fad,
At least they can say they tried,
Surely our next lot will not be as bad,
