Chains of Gold
Wearing chains of gold around our
necks is of the fashionable ways
But are they not the symbolic vestige
of the slavery of the olden days
Then why do we always display
then in public so very proudly
Are they not screaming to the
world 'Slavery! Slavery!' loudly
Are we not ashamed of the most
heinous crime against humanity
Or is it that we are still slaves in our
minds and remain so for eternity
necks is of the fashionable ways
But are they not the symbolic vestige
of the slavery of the olden days
Then why do we always display
then in public so very proudly
Are they not screaming to the
world 'Slavery! Slavery!' loudly
Are we not ashamed of the most
heinous crime against humanity
Or is it that we are still slaves in our
minds and remain so for eternity
