I know theres alot of people, trying to fight and beat there addictions
i know i can help them fight and win, there sobriety, i understand them, i know, i am the one
I feel there pain, there shame, there hurt and lost pride
For i know, really know, how it is. 24/7 being on this crazy or lazy roller coaster deadly ride
I know there are alot of people, trying to fight and beat the brutal heavy, chains of addiction
i know the life living and love, of feeling doom, helplessness, and gloom, without the peace, love, serenity, and the worthless feeling of total despair, and hurtfulness, without the warmth of the sun
You just cant fight and beat an addiction, all on your own
you alone-cannot succeed, you will fail, if you try to gut it, all alone
It will not be your success, not until you get someone, who cares about you, understanding you, and humbly in your corner
as a true friend, as in a twelve step program, a sponsor to mentor you, and love you, care about you, inspire you, for i know this, for absolute sure
I know theres alot of people, fighting for there life, trying to cut the chains of addiction
for i have, survived, and will always be surviving, this dark dreary, lonely road, of devastation, and despair, with no sun
I know there is alot of people, the worldover, poor, middle class, the famous wealthy and rich, who are fighting to beat a multiple of deadly strangling addictions
when you really are at the bottom of your life living and love, there is no other place to go, and you can only look up to the heavens, find your faith, your spiritual. belief, get your hope, to regroup and cope, trust in a higher power, and learn how to be humble and pray, trusting that all your-battles, faithfully can and will be done, believing and knowing that all your deadly addictions can be overcome and. Won
