'' Our Future We Have Forsaken ''
We refuse to see,
Nor do we agree,
Our planet is facing extinction,
Will killing each other set us free,
No, with death we make no distinction.
The facts we know,
They're there on show,
To disaster we're totally blind,
Death occurs everywhere we go,
Yet our claim is we are refined?
Our intelligence is high,
It all but a lie,
Why would we destroy what we need?
With Mother Nature we refuse to comply,
Is it wise to make yourself bleed?
The end is near,
We should feel fear,
Yet we bury our heads in the sand,
That miracle called God will never appear,
What is it we don't understand.
The human race,
Are obsessed with space,
But others will not stand by and watch,
Stealing what's theirs they'd say's a disgrace,
It's another adventure we'll botch.
We've started to crack,
There's no going back,
What sustained us we humans have taken,
Our very existence is now under attack,
