I love being Irish
I wish everyone could be Irish

My grandfather on my mother's side came from Ireland
My grandmother on my father's side came from Ireland

She told wonderful stories of Ireland
I could see the stories in my mind as she talked

She told the best stories of faires
I can almost hear her sweet brogue now as she spun the tale

I wish you and yours a wonderful day full of fun
Be sure to wear green and look for that shamrock

Watch out for those mischievous leprechauns
You never know when they will play a trick on you
