The Raven
It was a bright and sunny day
I was walking down the roadway
Something dark fluttered in the air
So I turned and looked up there
A dark raven, it's eye fixed on mine
Perched on the telephone line
We stared at each other for a while
Suddenly it opened it's beak wide
Like a dark voracious maw
And gave out a loud “Caw”
Then it took off and flew away
Leaving me to wonder till this day
What was the meaning of that “Caw”
And why does it still feel so raw
I was walking down the roadway
Something dark fluttered in the air
So I turned and looked up there
A dark raven, it's eye fixed on mine
Perched on the telephone line
We stared at each other for a while
Suddenly it opened it's beak wide
Like a dark voracious maw
And gave out a loud “Caw”
Then it took off and flew away
Leaving me to wonder till this day
What was the meaning of that “Caw”
And why does it still feel so raw
