 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

May faith had led me to obey,
When God called to me to this place;
For I wanted to go His way,
And able to receive His grace.

So I did leave my own nation,
Not knowing where I was going;
And without an affirmation,
Having a direction showing.

Faith led me to live in this place,
As a foreigner in a land;
And a man having a strange face,
Strange language speaking to demand.

Small apartments with just one room,
Sitting on the floor since no chairs;
It was feeling more like a tomb,
Since in my life no body shares.

I was waiting for God to speak,
For the city designed and built;
Permanent foundations to seek,
But in staying free from all guilt.

By faith I started a new life,
Able to become a father;
Married by taking on a wife,
A new family and brother.

And now it seems as the years past,
I have now become old and gray;
Time seem to have been moving fast,
A year is feeling like a day.

But I have tried to serve the Lord,
No matter where I been living;
I cannot let it be ignored,
For remembering thanksgiving.

For a lifetime I had to roam,
As a stranger until the call;
Going to my permanent home,
When the earth has taken its fall.

That is why I am not ashamed,
No matter where the Lord calls me;
I am so glad to have proclaimed,
So others are able to see.
