A Solitary Man

It all started on a Hot August Night,
When he stood tall and with all his might,
    Shouted out... I'm A Believer...
    ...I am, I said

A Solitary Man, moving along like the tide,
Wherever he roamed, Shilo stayed by his side,
Like the Red, Red Wine that tasted like Cherry,
It made him feel as if he had no burden to carry.

As he walked his walk, to many he would say... Hello Again,
And they would whisper, there goes a fine man,
A sharp dresser, in his Forever In Blue Jeans,
While he whistled to a tune, a Song Sung Blue.

One from his past he called Cracklin' Rosie,
    Why, no one really knows,
Even Sweet Caroline had no clue,
Surely, she should not stick to him like glue.

There is no doubt... he knew at first sight,
The girl who will stay like an eternal light,
Many have heard him say... I Believe In Happy Endings
And he shouted out with glee... Holly Holy.

A sparkling Diamond, he will always be,
Even those still coming to America,
Will share the brightest star with you and me,
For he stands for freedom and all the glory.
