THE FARM

I love the farm
The junk
The house
I miss the bone yard
So many cool old things
Crushed by metal workers
Insane:
An old blue truck
I have a photo of somewhere
That had a glass bottle
On the outside of it
It amazed me
An old wagon I fixed
And Julie and Kyndra broke
Silly girls at the time
Many huge farm machines
Two or three old
Beautiful red gas pumps
The rails from the train
That used to come here
To move the wheat
I found out the library used to be the school here
Friday
And that there is a museum inside the building
Somewhere
I wish the train still came here
It quit in 1965 or 1969
In that range
This place used to have a flour mill too
The farm has a beautiful old house on it
Inside there are dark wood trims
A railing that goes around the dining room
Wall to put your plates on
A built-in hutch that is original
High ceilings
A wrap around screened-in porch
A yard to die for
(As you're mowing the huge thing)
That is
Totally fenced
A building off the fence
Where there is a dog hole
So your dogs could sleep there
(Mine wouldn't=they're spoiled)
I wish I could afford that
Rent
I would love to live there
The most perfect view of the
Blue Mountains, cemetery, and wheat fields
The man who owned and ran the farm for years
Was nice to me
I go visit his grave often
His wife is nice to me
His son is nice to me
Anyway
I am blessed just to get to go
To the farm
Run my dogs
Play my guitar
Walk around
Clean it up
Do whatever
Just be free on the farm
Thank you pioneers for building
Such a beautiful sturdy house
Made to last another 100 years
With a little love
I love the farm
And when I'm at the farm
I love every little thing
About God's good green Earth.
