I MISS YOU, MICHAEL

To others you were Mike
To me you were Michael
I didn't get back here
Before you died
We were going to get
Back together
I got here a
Year and a half too late
After the cancer killed you
You don't let me go
Having just awaken
From dreams of you
In dreams you kiss me
In dreams you are jealous
Of a young man who wants me too
My mom and brothers and sisters
Are in my dreams too
Your friends are in my dreams
Saying we are so cute together
Giving you hell for not
Marrying me
Not living with me
But wanting me for a wife
For the best parts of love
I do live on a wing
And a prayer
I went to counseling
For a year
To quit living that way
To plan for tomorrow
I never thought
There might be tomorrows
Ready to give up today
Because of life is my God's
Will anyway
If it's his will I go
I cannot take it with me
All the things you strive
For on Earth
Don't matter
What matters is
If you love others
And learn to love yourself
You let me go when you were alive
You hold me as you're dead
Never out of my head
I wear the ring you gave
Me for Christmas once
Even if you're dead
Your live self gave it to me
I wonder what happen to the ring I gave you
Maybe it went with your body
Into the cold hard ground
Anyway
Where ever you are
Your soul is still alive
I don't forget you
I still love you
You come to me in dreams.
