Backwards coming forwardsEver tried walking backwards in the sand along the beach, With your feet pointed forward your past now out of reach, So try writing your name backwards on paper upside down, Go on stretch your brains ability to turn your talents around, That fast forward button is broken, take basics from your past, Some old concepts were well proven, history's experience vast, Now try saying the alphabet backwards, fluently with no pause, While you put on clothes back to front, a rebel without a cause, Put your good hand behind your back while routine tasks are done, Enjoy laughing at yourself, your hand to eye co-ordination fun, So going backwards can be productive, just ask my tug of war team, Look away from tomorrow's woes and realise yesterday's dream Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
