When Words Failed Me

words fail sometimes to communicate
as dark waters hide what cannot quite
be perceived

its not that the Seer doesn't see
more often
its that the Hearer fails to believe
in anything
but their own version
of the world

they lack imagination

should I pity them
perhaps

but I don't

however,
this is why I
for a time
I gave up on words
and let them go
silent

preferring instead
a parade of color
to speak for me
to let its bold silent language
create a cacophony of imagery and metaphor

this Muse
satisfied me to the greatest measure
so much so I declared myself for a time
done with mundane letters
and solely took up my new found palette of
liquid words
with bliss
