lost and then found

Winter and spring

winter snow
falling on the ground
The white is so cold
You can even here the snow fall down
Crisp in the morning
The powder turns to ice
And the run off after
Fills the rivers and streams
The floods start to rumble
The trees start to Bud
The flowers grow
And the pond that I sit bye
Has filled to the top
The beavers have dams and the waterfalls rage
All I see is the memories
Of things that used to be
The pond is still there
But the rest is lost in time
The winter and the spring
The ones the mind held in a cage
The Blue Herons fish in the water
