Poetic-Verses

'' The Next Generation ''

Our tenure on here,
Is nearing the end,
When we disappear,
Mother Nature will mend.

We came here to Earth,
On a wing and a prayer,
Where we did berth,
The sign said beware.

With scant regard,
For the concept of life,
Other species we scarred,
We caused them such strife.

In a short space of time,
The intelligent one,
Commits the ultimate crime,
Now everything's done.

The next step you thought,
Was out there in space,
Now you're distraught,
It blew up in your face.

Those of us who've escaped,
Are grateful you're gone,
This planet you've raped,
Will face a new dawn.

After your demise,
We were filled with elation,
As we open our eyes.
To,

‘' The Next Generation ‘'
