I'm here in my weakened state
Behind this darkened door.

You perceive what's in my heart.
You know attempts have failed
Doomed from the very start.
Each time I am repentant
It echoes down the hall.
Within the next two seconds
I forget it all.
I'm glad God's forgiving
I'm glad He understands.
He dusts off each sinner
He's there to lend a hand.
