PEACE

PEACE

I see angels' wings atop the waves that court the seas
I find solace inside the humming of the blossoming dark,
As trains go rumbling behind a forest of trees
I see pelicans as they circle beneath smoky clouds
                                  PeAcE

Where the sand lies as a covering of white silken sheets
And sailboats pass indifferently with messages in a bottle,
Carrying new thoughts within a mountain of minutes
Telling of the next season with its cellophane happenings
                     pEaCe

The morning's dew blankets a hibiscus as it sleeps in the sun
While fingers of old lace ‘n' smiles wrap around my yawning
I whisper inside twilight's arms with its many voices,
Praying a benediction that drifted from long ago
                                             PEACE

Walking barefoot on cobbled stones wrapped in green moss
Knowing that tomorrow is not going to be chipped
I'm feeling the pulse of a new day; a new music box song
Knowing the thunder will be tucked inside its circle of clouds

           FEELING _-_-_  PEACE

                      Le sentiment de la paix

Isaiah 26:3King James Version (KJV)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
