Poetic Wine

Poetry has been my life.
Some written from happiness,
others from strife.

Poetry is the music in
my ear that I constantly hear.
Words of sadness, happiness,
imaginativeness, and even fear.

Words that dance, and sometimes
change in a second glance.
Words that rhymes and some
that take way to much time.

Poetry takes me to far off and
exotic places, and oceans shore
far beyond, were I meet unforgettable
faces.

Stories of tragedy, war, hate and love.
Rhymes of eagles and turtle doves.
Poems that evoke laughter and others
that summon tears.

But in the end…
poetry is my wine,
sweet and straight
from the poetic vine.
