Welcome to My Poetry Site

I saw her sitting in that chair,
With eyes so bright and dark brown hair.
Her body wrecked with some disease
The sight of such would cause unease.

She stopped us with a kind remark,
Her smile so deep I had to park.
I did not know what she did say,
But shyness morphed in warm replay.

I found her beauty gleam within,
With peace she reached out in wide grin.
Taken aback I tried to praise,
Yet she told me she liked my face.

Such love is rare in this dark world,
Beside this light my mind unfurled.
With melted heart I gave a hug,
And prayed to God His favor flood.

My thoughts consume me every day,
I oft feel empty from the fray.
Yet in this meeting brief but strong
I found renewal through her song.

The truth now seems so clear to me
That we were built to love and be.
What brings us down and does enslave
Can be set free with steps so brave.

Embracing others in their needs
Unfolds true love and sews large seeds.
Eventually we'll find our light,
And wake up to a future bright.
