Mother Nature's Lesson

A mild grumbling noise
came from within the pit
Those who heard did not
pay much attention to it

Slowly the mild grumbling
changed to wild rumbling
Everything started trembling
houses started crumbling

Then the people panicked
started running hither tither
No one knew what happened
but all blamed the nature

This was one of the first lessons
on earthquakes the nature gave
To the prehistoric man whose
house was nothing but a cave
