Welcome to My Poetry Site

They tried to bring me down in faith
But you, Oh Lord, will be my strength.
Taunted by mistakes I made
A question forms and I’ve been weighed.
If I believe in your whole word,
Then I must do what they’ve conferred.

Yet out of ashes raised the truth
That you have come to save and soothe.
No longer chained by sin’s abuse
You woke my heart and paid my dues.
Before I yearned for last release,
But now I hope to live in peace.

This life You gave inside of me
Was meant to serve and yet be free.
Such tangled webs that I have weaved
Is naught to Whom I have believed.
For each new day You mark my steps,
With love You heal my faith protects.

I know right now it seems unclear
How You will help me persevere.
Uncomfortable it may yet be
To wait for what I cannot see.
But You won't lie and I will stand
To look for You and grasp Your hand.
