Welcome to My Poetry Site

I will praise you, Lord, for you are always good
When they tried to crush me, over me you stood.
You raised me up from clutches which wanted me to pay
And broke off all their chains so I could ride your sleigh.

Now starts a new adventure, not sure where we will go
But if you are the driver, then blessings will bestow.
O’er mountains and through valleys, you’ll lead me thru the land
And give me safer footing, so I won’t sink in sand.

I thought my path was over, that goodness would depart
But you woke me from slumber, and put love in my heart.
Though objects lay before me, they’re naught to you, Oh Lord,
For always you descended, to smash the foe’s great sword.

This journey has been rocky, my tears have told on me
But after all I’m grateful, for you have set me free.
When lies creep back to haunt me, I’ll lift my eyes to you
Forgiveness and sweet mercy I’ll learn as I go through.
