One Of The Best
To my handsome grandson Adam on his 27th birthday today 12/9/16 love always Nannie and Star Hugs xxx
One Of The Best
Since you were born in that September
I`ve watched you grow so fast
But yet my laddie I remember
Every birthday of the past
I watched you walk on baby feet
With questioning big blue eyes
I soon taught you how to sleep
All night without those cries
You liked to be all tucked up warm
And you would cosy doon
Not afraid of any storm
That came into the room
Gentle laddie as you grew
Quiet little lad
The fact is this is very true
You are just like your Dad
Now you`re grown and time has passed
Climbing... scrambling up the trees
Kayaking and photographs
Sometimes my laddie you just freeze.
I am glad you`ve found your fun
And live life to the full
In fact you live it on the run
From tree to cliff to pool
One day I hope you`ll give your heart
And receive one too
Meet a lass and never part
As she gives hers to you
But for now just have a ball
Take from life your youth
Because my laddie after all
I tell you the truth
Time passes and before you know
You will be forty-one
So enjoy life as you go
A happy birthday son
Hope that all your dreams come true
Have health and happiness
And just know that I love you
My lad... one of the best
