Once ,
Never twice
it will never be
That distant
A
Brilliant orange dawn.
Over the cradle
Of man.
Nemesis,
The star of death.
Despiser of
Mother Earth!!!
Shied
in his high,
Arrogant a sphere!
Eight million years
of safer times gained,
A fertile realm indeed!
A  holy day indeed!
And he was born,
Giant ciders of stern Anbar
Shivered then!
Sparkled dusty leaves
of Basra’s numerous palms
Shivered too!
Water streams of
Shatt Al Arab
Woke up,
Suddenly
Hasting eagerly
Before sunrise
to pour fine refined waters
beyond Kuwaiti Bubian
And mighty Gulf Arabian.....
He was born
At dawn
And bless her
The holy mother!
For he was half man and half immortal
A twisted creature of those ancient times.
