Leaves Of Harvest Hues

Some think we'll live forever but, we must all succumb one day
Memories are imprints left, upon the hearts that stay
Treat each other kindly for precious days are few
And lingering in the wind, are leaves of harvest hues
The family members you love and pray for every day
Are gentle leaves blowing, In the wind, the wind at bay
Teach them the word of God These leaves need understand
That the truth of life began, Upon his holy land
Trickling far deep inside, their soul's cry to the Lord
Wishing, wanting, grasping, to live of his accord
For he's the sunshine, the rain, Our timber and our glue
He takes us all one by one, substance of harbor hues
Smile through the rain and thank God for his love
For the leaves of harvest hues, for the breath of life above!

I wrote this piece in remembrance of,
A leaf of harvest hue
