HILDA (R.I.P.)

 HILDA (R.I.P.)

With heavy heart I`m sorry to say
That sadly Hilda passed away,
Peacefully she just went to sleep
Leaving our broken hearts to weep.

A Wife, Mother, Friend and Auntie too
Loved by all the people that she knew,
She brought a smile to everyone`s face
And no one can ever take her place.

When Hilda was born they broke the mould
She lived to reach ninety nine years old,
Sadly Hilda never quite made the century
But a happy life she lived I think you`ll agree.

I hope Hilda knew what she meant to me
For she was my extended family,
She leaves a gap that cannot be filled
Now that her voice and laughter are stilled.

I will miss you Hilda without a doubt
For me today a light went out,
Our loss, God`s gain is all I can say
But I`ll miss you each and every day.

It`s never easy to say goodbye
Even knowing that we`re born to die,
Tho` heaven gained an Angel today
In our hearts Hilda will always stay.

Though she is no longer yours or mine
Look up to heaven and see her shine,
For tho` a light went out a star was born
She`ll shine forever and we will mourn.

The world will be a much darker place
But God will hold you in his embrace,
Goodnight and God bless my dear friend
I hope in time that my heart will mend.
