~DYING TO BE BEAUTIFUL~


Lipstick and eyeliner
Mascara and blush
Foundation and eyeshadow
Oh such a rush

Dying our hair
So age does not show
Whitening our teeth
To make our smile glow

Closets of clothes
Some not to wear
Too many shoes
But we purchase more pairs

We must look beautiful
To cover imperfections
So we do not feel
The weight of rejection

If we can believe
That looks do not matter
Than true happiness will be
When this illusion is shattered
