As you sit upon my thigh
I gaze upon your soul
Entwined with such graciousness
You always make me whole

I think back upon those early days
When i was sad and alone
Looking out upon this universe
Like a king upon his throne

So many beautiful creatures i made
This, i admit is true
But there’s nothing i would trade
Not to have made you

I remember stitching your silk like wings
Upon your body of slender grace
I knew what love you would bring
When i gazed upon your face

I followed your every dance
Under every sky
Spellbound within trance
I became your dragonfly

And we sit amongst Earths domain
You upon my thigh
Love and beauty just the same
The creator and his butterfly
