Poetic-Verses

'' Do Better Without ''

As I looked back on life,
I thought of the strife,
Negativity was always the rule,
Caused in the main by an evil wife,
Her persona I'd say was, yes dual.

That face you see,
Was not for me,
But for those who were on the outside,
On my experience they would never agree,
For me there was no place to hide.

Men don't get beat?
Women don't cheat?
I was accused of telling tall tales,
In the end I admitted defeat,
Before I went right off the rails.

I got the blame,
Was made to feel shame,
The children took the side of their Mother,
While I was left without a name,
The truth she managed to smother.

Heading for a fall,
I'd lost it all,
My future was now looking bleak,
To ruin my life, she wouldn't stall,
She truly believed I was weak.

Though under attack,
I fought my way back,
Innocence was my main motivation,
Despite her lies I refused to crack,
To give in I resisted temptation.

After the tears,
New life reappears,
I've surpassed what I aimed to achieve,
Once again when that dark mist clears,
There is nothing you cannot conceive.

Put up resistance,
Show some persistence,
In your abilities you must never show doubt,
Revenge has no part in your new existence,
 What you did with,
