Poetic-Verses

'' As They Suffer On Their Own ''

While in conversation,
The T.V. sounds off,
I feel aggravation,
So I start to scoff.

That thing in the corner,
It's on 24/7,
I am its scorner,
Though to me it's Heaven.

The radio blares loud,
Playing music all day,
It shouldn't be allowed,
But I don't have a say.

So many stations,
From which to choose,
Throughout world nations,
It tends to bemuse.

Computer games,
Get me tied in knots,
So many names,
It's like joining up dots.

They say interactive,
So you play along,
The concept's attractive,
But in reality it's wrong.

I worked all my life,
But what does leave me cold,
Is the onset of strife,
By just getting old.

My family and friends,
Have all disappeared,
With fear one contends,
It feels really weird.

I do all the talking,
But no-one hears,
It really is shocking,
It brings me to tears.

One of our main features,
Is we all have the will,
To be social creatures.
So loneliness can kill,

As I sit here pondering,
Please let it be known,
People's lives we are squandering,
