Poetic-Verses

'' He Refuses To Heed ''

The master of verse,
Believed he was good,
He ignored all others opinions,
To them he was terse,
As well as just rude,
To him they were nothing but minions.

Regardless of write,
The critics he'd scoff,
No-one would tell him what to do,
Their ire he'd light,
By saying, ‘' bugger off ‘'
A decision one day he would rue.

He knew it all,
That's what he thought,
He believed he was truly unique,
Up for a brawl,
He'd leave others taut,
He was the only one in his clique.

Whatever he wrote,
He thought was the best,
His verse was his and no others,
He believed he would pass the pompousness test,
Sometimes arrogance smothers.

His work was designed,
In his own mind,
No-one could tell him about rhyme,
Offers of assistance were angrily declined,
Advice to him was a crime.

Now all his work,
Lies gathering dust,
His contempt is now making him bleed,
Everyone's a jerk,
To him they're unjust,
The warnings,

‘' He Refuses To Heed ‘'
