'' Why Not Do It Today ''
If a life could reverse,
Do you think you'd rehearse?
Before moving to the next stage,
Would you become more diverse
Before turning over the page.
Those lies you told,
That made you feel bold,
Would you ensure them you'd never repeat?
As you look back do they leave you cold,
The solution is at your own feet.
Nasty words spoken,
Now leave you broken,
Your wish is they'd never been said,
Empty words are but a token,
You must deal with them inside your head.
Those you've caused pain,
Would you do it again,
Have you thought about what you would change?
Apologies can and will bring you gain,
That is for you to arrange.
What's done is done,
Life's no longer fun,
Your conscience is now bringing you down,
But it's a battle that can be won,
In self-pity, you'll no longer drown.
It is perfectly true,
We can all start anew,
Though to change you must have the will,
Though that decision lies entirely with you,
Remember time doesn't stand still.
Hindsight on your list?
Blink and it's missed,
On the here and now you have final say,
Reversal of fortunes though does exist,
Try it,
