ramblings and things

Autumn leaves,
Browns, Reds, Yellows
All the colours in between
Slowly changing from
Spring and Summer's Green
To hang on the branches
In a magnificent display
As if every tree was
Trying to say

Goodbye and thanks
For another past year;
Storm winds allowing
Come spring we'll be here.
Randomly they float and swirl
Gliding around
Until they fall
To coat the ground
To rustle and crackle
Beneath treading feet
And  the bare branches
Signal a cycle's complete.

With winters end
The returning shades of green
From new grown leaves
Will set a new years scene,
Until in time
Comes the day
The Trees once more
Colour their leaves
In seasonal display.
Autumn leaves.
