Heaven praises His miracles, His faithfulness for the just; Will overcome all obstacles, Of desires that causes lust. Who in the skies could be compared, Among anyone like the Lord; So many marvels He has shared, How can it ever be ignored. He terrifies in the council, Greater than those who surround Him; But an advocate to counsel, Awe-inspiring to increase vim. God of Armies, who is like you? Mighty Lord, Commander in Chief; Faithfulness that is holding true, For those with a righteous belief. He rules all of the raging seas, When its waves rise He quiets them; He calms wind down to a breeze, Using tsunamis to condemn. He crushed Rahab just like it was clay, His strong arm will scatter His foes; Disciplines those who disobey, As well as anyone who strays. Heaven is His as well as earth, Making the world and all you see; The resources with all their worth, That are useful for you and me. The Lord created south and north, Directing us towards east and west; For dispersing as we go forth, Lighting the way as we invest. Joyfully we rejoice His name, His arm is mighty and strong hand; Lifting up high as we proclaim, Following what He does command. Righteousness is His foundation, Mercy and truth to remain first; The joyful sound of salvation, While His light will quench your thirst. Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
